Salem Harbor Port Authority approves 20% resident parking discount. Councilor Erin Turowski motioned, seconded by Fred Atkins, to grant Salem residents a 20 percent discount on seasonal waterfront parking rates set at $1.25 per hour from May 1 through November 1. The motion passed unanimously.

The Board recognized the service of Chair Kathleen M. Winn and identified Philip Pelletier, a Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduate and former North Shore Marine operator, as her successor; the formal chairperson designation was deferred pending Mayor Dominick Pangallo's arrival.
