Commission approves four Certificate of Appropriateness applications

Salem Historical Commission approves four exterior modification projects and elects new leadership. The commission voted to approve Certificates of Appropriateness for a one-story addition at 46 Chestnut Street, exterior modifications at 278 Lafayette Street and 2 River Street, and entrance modifications at 21 North Street. All four applications passed unanimously or with only one abstention.

Additionally, the commission voted unanimously to find the building at 26 Linden Street not historically significant for demolition purposes. Kelly Tyler-Lewis was elected Chair and Rebecca English as Vice Chair.
