Commission approves demolition waiver for 1955 Cressey Avenue house

SALEM — The Salem Historical Commission approved demolition of a 1955 Cape Cod at 3 Cressey Avenue, finding it not historically significant in a 5-0 vote. The commission granted five Certificates of Appropriateness for gate and porch design at 21 Warren Street, electric meters at 5 Orne Square, foundation work at 44 Derby Street, and a community message board at 0 Washington Square in unanimous votes. The board denied a fencing and EV-charger application at 41 Chestnut Street, continued solar and shutter applications to September 16, and authorized support for preserving a historic structure at 259 Washington Street through relocation.
