Sustainability Committee Adopts Revised Mission Statement

Salem Sustainability Committee unanimously approves revised mission statement after discussion of state-level role. The Sustainability, Energy, and Resiliency Committee voted 4-0 to adopt the revised statement after incorporating recommendations from Neal, including grammatical corrections and tense changes. Member Kevin Rice's suggestion was incorporated into the statement's third bullet point.
The committee decided to retain language supporting state-level environmental action. John Hayes will send the approved statement to Mayor Pangallo.
