Salem Redevelopment Authority approves four downtown projects, announces Courthouse complex closure. The board unanimously approved the Salem Inn expansion at 11 Summer Street, an ADA-accessible ramp at 14 New Derby Street, and signage projects at 192 Essex Street and the Peabody Essex Museum. Executive Director Tom Daniel announced the city has closed on the Courthouse and Crescent lots, completing the final phase of a Judicial Center Complex redevelopment that will deliver 115 new homes with income levels ranging from 30 percent of area median to market rate, plus ground-floor commercial and public spaces.
