Salem Sales Span Wide Price Range as Essex Street Property Tops $1.5 Million
Salem recorded 15 property sales over the past four weeks, with 11 showing a sale price so far, ranging from $290,000 to $1,565,000 and a median of $513,000. The month's top transaction was 395 Essex St., which sold for $1,565,000 to 395 Essex Street LLC. Condominium units made up about half of all recorded sales. Four transactions, all appearing to move property from an individual owner into a same-name trust, have not yet shown a price in registry data. Overall deed activity held a steady pace for the period, based on the raw sales count alone.
