Canal Street's $2.05 Million Sale Anchors Salem's September Property Transfers
Salem recorded 14 property transfers between Sept. 4 and Oct. 3, but only five carried a sale price so far, ranging from $325,000 to $2,050,000 with a median of $685,000. The period's top recorded sale was 1 Canal St., which sold for $2,050,000 on Sept. 30 to One Canal LLC from Samari Group LLC, with a related transfer between the same parties recorded the same day. Nine of the 14 transfers, several moving property between family members or into trusts, have no price yet in registry data. With most prices still pending, the data does not yet support a read on overall market tone.
