SALEM — Community Preservation Committee approves four historic projects for eligibility review. Acting Chair Carole Hamilton presided over the Committee's determination votes, finding the Salem Common Bandstand, Pioneer Village, Hamilton Hall, and Immaculate Conception Church stained glass windows all eligible for funding under Historic Resources: Restoration and/or Preservation categories. The Pioneer Village vote passed 5-1 with Kate Martin opposing over questions about the relocation component; three other eligibility votes passed unanimously.
The Committee also unanimously recommended full funding for an additional request by the City of Salem for Dickson Memorial Chapel exterior restoration.
