Design Review Board approves Salem Inn campus expansion schematic design

Salem Design Review Board approves schematic design for Salem Inn campus expansion. The board, chaired by Paul Durand, voted 6-0 to approve the project at 11 Summer Street, which will convert a 1762 federal-style building into 15 hotel rooms and a carriage house into one townhouse unit, with site improvements including a solar panel carport and geothermal system. Approval is pending design development drawing review.
The board also unanimously approved signage at three locations and an ADA ramp at 14 New Derby Street, while continuing review of a major Lifebridge Main Campus affordable housing and shelter development.
