Salem Preps Roadwork and Programs as Summer Winds Down
City crews are gearing up for a busy stretch of roadway and infrastructure work as Salem heads into the Labor Day stretch, while local businesses and volunteers kept the community buzzing over the past day.

The City of Salem's News Flash feed confirmed final preparations are underway for Sunday's North Shore RunFest, which will bring rolling road blocks throughout the race course starting at 9 a.m. The city has also been carrying out a broader slate of roadway, water, sewer and drainage improvement projects planned for summer and into fall, part of ongoing infrastructure work across several neighborhoods.
