Mayor Dominick Pangallo announced the full schedule for Salem 400+ Heritage Days, the city's nine-day festival running from August 1 through August 9. The lineup promises what the city calls a "non-stop" run of special events tied to Salem's 400th-anniversary programming. Salem Patch also reported on the full schedule Tuesday, noting the celebration opens with the return of a parade.

The city is separately seeking three residents to serve on its newly formed Taxpayer Relief Committee, a panel that will oversee Salem's new Taxpayer Aid Fund under state law. Salem Patch covered the same search, describing the fund as part of the city's broader tax-relief effort.
