SALEM — Zero Waste Salem approves rebrand, plans Volunteer Fair. The committee unanimously approved prior minutes and confirmed a Repair Cafe for February 7 at Beverly High School, with a Volunteer Fair following January 10 at Salem High School from 2 to 5 p.m. Chair Brian Romer's committee is rebranding with a new logo scheduled for rollout next week.
The committee is pursuing community partnerships including Essex Tech and Salem High's Career and Technical Education program to build its Repair Cafe volunteer base, which has already drawn nine fixers, six specializing in sewing. String light recycling has been added to upcoming January styrofoam and previous e-waste collections.
