SALEM — School Committee subcommittee approves superintendent position profile. The Ad-Hoc Superintendent Search Subcommittee, led by AJ Hoffman, voted to approve the superintendent position profile with amendments including multilingual and multicultural qualifications. Member Veronica Miranda moved the adoption, contingent on full School Committee approval of the recommended salary range; the motion passed 2 to 0.
The subcommittee also discussed new state requirements for disclosing salary ranges in job postings. The position profile will advance to the full School Committee for a vote on March 23, 2026.
