SRA refers health center design to Design Review Board

Salem Redevelopment Authority votes to advance downtown health center to Design Review Board. The SRA voted 3-0 to refer Phase II design of the 73 Lafayette Street project to the Design Review Board after five years of permitting and financing work. The applicant, South River Partnership LLC, has secured $2.4 million in historic tax credits and an additional $400,000 in state awards.

Health center funding is expected to close in September 2026, positioning the project for construction start by year-end.
