Salem School Committee Finance Subcommittee advances FY27 budget calendar with spring public hearings planned. The three-member subcommittee — AJ Hoffman, Chair; Megan Stott; and Beth Anne Cornell — received budget input updates from administrators, who outlined major expenses including $1 million for boiler replacement at Witchcraft Heights Elementary School. Administrators said New Liberty Innovation School and Salem Prep High School will likely be relocated, excluding their mall rental costs from the budget.

Public budget forums are scheduled, with a public hearing tentatively set for the week of April 13.
