SALEM ZONING BOARD APPROVES SIX PETITIONS

Salem Zoning Board unanimously approves six relief petitions at May 20 meeting. Chair Nina Vyedin's board granted special permits and variances for residential additions and a 99-seat Bridge Street restaurant seeking 12 to 18 parking spaces where 28 are required. Attorney Scott Grover presented the House of Seven Gables Settlement Association's climate adaptation plan, which the board approved with a parking finding for the historic counting house relocation.

The board also approved two accessory dwelling units at School Street and Shore Avenue with privacy and window conditions.
