Salem sale tops $1.3 million as condo units dominate July closings
Salem recorded 15 property transfers between July 3 and Aug. 1, 2026, with 13 disclosing a sale price ranging from $300,000 to $1,375,000 and a median of $655,000. The month's top sale was a single-family home at 20 Winter St., which sold for $1,375,000 on July 31 from Timothy J. Kenslea to Craig E. Vercolen. Condominium and deeded-unit sales accounted for the majority of transactions, and several transfers involved family trusts or estate representatives. Two sales did not disclose a price. With 15 recorded deeds and prices spread across a wide range rather than clustering at one tier, the data shows a moderately active, varied market rather than a runaway trend in either direction.
