Salem Planning Board continues five development applications

Salem Planning Board defers five development applications. Chair Kirt Rieder led the board through unanimous votes to continue all five active development applications to April 23, including two phases of Forest River Residences totaling 485 units: Winn Development's 145-unit adaptive reuse of Salem State buildings and Avalon Bay Communities' 340-unit residential project with 524 parking spaces. The public hearing on Winn was closed.
Other continued applications: a 735-unit self-storage facility at 45 Jefferson Avenue, a subdivision at 15 Crosby Street, an ambulance-service site plan at 4 Franklin Street, and an eight-unit residential site plan at 170 North Street.
