Salem Cultural Council rescinds MOON grant and reallocates Salem Sound funding over grantee issues. The council voted unanimously to rescind a $750 grant to MOON Over Salem after the organization missed an April 1 deadline on a facility-change report. In a separate unanimous vote, the council reallocated Salem Sound funding, requiring the organization to refund $500 from the 2024-2025 cycle and denying $2,000 in planned 2025-2026 funds due to incomplete prior-year work.
Salem Sound must also sign an agreement acknowledging the funding changes.
