Salem Cultural Council approves community survey and community outreach appointment. The six-member council voted unanimously Monday to approve a final community survey draft during its remote meeting, with Secretary Cassandra Warren tasked with creating a QR code image and Treasurer Cris Gladly distributing the survey link to ward counselors. In a separate unanimous vote, the council named member Sarah Hemingway to lead community outreach efforts.
The council confirmed cancellation of its Ghost Ship Market presence and tabled several related market initiatives for future discussion, including possible attendance at Juneteenth and Black Picnic events.
