Salem Planning Board approves 3D printing manufacturer special permit at North River site. Atelio Design and Digital Fabrication received approval from the Planning Board to operate a light manufacturing facility at 83 North Street using 3D printing to develop home furnishings for retail and online sale. The company, with employees already on-site, proposed no building changes or traffic increase.
Chair Kirt Rieder and board members passed the special permit 8-0 on motion by Helen Sides and second by Jonathan Berk.
