Salem public library board approves FY27 budget, adds second full-time Reference Librarian. The Board of Public Library Trustees unanimously approved the spending plan, which includes the conversion of a part-time position to full-time. Director Tara Mansfield noted the budget reflects cost adjustments and additional benefits due to the recent SLSA contract agreement.
Heating system repairs have been completed, though locating the leak required several attempts and raised costs significantly. Additional repairs are planned for spring for air handlers and air conditioning systems.
