SALEM — Historical Commission approves roofing work; tables four applications to January 21. The Salem commission voted 6 to 1 to permit Pamela Levesque to replace wood shingles with asphalt in Pearl Black at 373 Essex Street, with Milo Martinez opposing and Mark Meche abstaining. Four applications — including bandstand renovation at 0 Washington Square, security cameras and cornice work at 35 Flint Street, window replacement at 49 Warren Street UB, and roof and violations remediation at 20 Hathorne Street — were unanimously continued.

ZXE LLC's request for a waiver to demolish buildings at 45 Jefferson Avenue was unanimously granted after the commission found no historical significance to the structures.
