SALEM — Council on Aging Board approves minutes and welcomes Councilor Lydia King as new liaison. Social Services Coordinator Sharon Felton reported 505 client interactions in December serving 219 unique seniors, with persistent challenges in housing access and mental health referrals; two team members and Chair Lynda Coffill plan SHINE certification. Director Teresa Gove Arnold requested $472,700 in city funds plus $130,533 in personnel grants for a February 12 budget meeting with Mayor Pangallo.
The kitchen enhancement project, originally $315,000, is expected to cost $276,000 after competitive bidding, with TM Construction Management of Medford selected and currently being vetted by city Facilities Director Mike Crounse.
