Salem Council on Aging Board approves prior minutes, reviews spring programming and housing. Director Teresa Gove Arnold reported February congregate dining served 311 meals and upcoming renovations will shift to grab-and-go service. The board confirmed a trolley for seniors at the August 1 Salem 400 parade and authorized a three hundred dollar payment to Jim McAllister for two May lectures on senior activism.
Chair Lynda Coffill and the board discussed launching a snow-shoveling assistance program, reinvesting in a lost part-time position, and planning a Women's Expo for early 2027.
