Committee appoints Ogno to Transportation Commission seat

SALEM — The Salem Bicycling & Shared Path Advisory Committee voted unanimously to appoint member Alexa Ogno to a Transportation Commission seat. Senior Planner Tom Devine reported the City has completed a Highland Avenue trails study and is preparing a grant application for design funding. The committee continues work on the proposed U.S.
Bicycle Route 1 and is drafting Bluebikes route suggestions to guide riders through Salem. Five members expressed interest in forming an events subcommittee for community event coordination.
