Historical Commission · Meeting of February 4, 2026

SALEM — The Historical Commission approved Fire Department building upgrades with visibility conditions. Chair Vijay Joyce and six members voted 6-1 to accept electrical and heat pump upgrades at the Essex Street Fire Department building, requiring exterior conduit hidden inside or painted if outside. Three Certificate of Appropriateness applications were continued to February 18; window replacement at 49 Warren Street was approved unanimously.
