City Council Continues Haunted Warren Museum Hours Debate to March 26

Salem City Council extends debate on Haunted Warren Museum hours until March 26. The council voted Thursday to keep open the public hearing on the Haunted Warren Museum LLC's petition to operate at 259 Essex Street from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week. Applicant Elton Castee said extended hours would support full-time jobs and drive year-round tourism; downtown residents on Barton Square and several councillors including Councillor Timothy G.

Flynn raised concerns about noise and disruption. In separate action, the council voted 9-2 to adopt a resolution comparing current federal policies to colonial tyranny, with Councillors Flynn and Conrad J. Prosniewski opposed.
