Cemetery Commission · Meeting of June 9, 2026
Salem Cemetery Commission reviews Chapel accessibility redesign and launches market-rate fee study. Chair Jacob St. Louis and Members Anthony O'Donnell and Zack Sanzone heard Spencer Preservation Group present a $1.1 million Chapel project, with architectural services at $101,750 and construction at $1,006,613.
The design team chose Concept 3, and the commission deferred voting to next month pending public input. A separate Tetra Tech market-rate study will examine fee structures, operations, and revenue opportunities across Salem's municipal cemeteries through fall, with three additional commission meetings and two public meetings planned.
