Board Approves $2,850 for Library Fountain Bags
Board of Public Library Trustees · Meeting of June 18, 2026
Salem library board approves $2,850 for fountain replacement. Library Director Tara Mansfield reported that fountain bag stock would be depleted before fall and the fountain account lacked adequate funds to cover the $2,850 purchase for 200 bags. The board unanimously approved drawing from the regular checking account for the purchase, with proceeds from fountain sales to replenish the account for ongoing maintenance.
Trustee Andrew Lutts made the motion, seconded by Trustee Bob Morin. The library also expanded summer programs with a new Yoga for Every Body adult program and community partner services for vulnerable patrons.
